Source Policy

What we publish, and what we do not.

NewsIQ is only as good as its sources. This page describes how we choose, evaluate, and maintain the sources we rely on.

Inclusion criteria

We include news agencies, broadcasters, financial media, government and official sources, and a curated set of community sources. Each source has a public credibility score between 0 and 100. Sources below a minimum threshold are not promoted to the public feed.

Verification

Each source goes through a manual review before being marked as verified. Verification is revoked if the source repeatedly publishes demonstrably false or misleading content.

Source types

We distinguish news agencies, newspapers, broadcasters, financial media, government and official sources, blogs, social feeds, and eyewitness reports. Each type is treated differently in our pipeline and in the user interface.

Removal

Sources can be suspended or rejected by editors. Rejected sources are not syndicated. Suspended sources are kept for audit but do not appear in the public feed.
